GE to supply 38 wind turbines in Serbia

General Electric Renewable Energy will deliver 38 wind turbines for the Serbian based wind farm of Kovačica after reaching an agreement with Enlight Renewable Energy. The new wind farm will have 105 MW installed capacity with 38 wind turbines of 110 m height each. GE also agreed to provide O&M services for the unit during the period of next 15 years. GE Renewable Energy recently announced that it will also deliver wind turbines for Čibuk 1, a wind farm aimed to become the largest in the country with an installed capacity of 158 MW. Čibuk 1 wind farm is being developed by Vetroelektrane Balkana (Wind Energy Balkan Group) and its investment is estimated at €300 million. The project reached financial close in October 2017 with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) together providing €215 million.
