EBRD to support revitalisation of Bulgarian hydro
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will, through the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF), support 70% (30% will be provided by NEK) of the €37 million investment in the rehabilitation of Bulgarian hydro units: 864 MW Chaira pumped storage, 75 MW Belmeken pumped storage, 240 MW Sestrimo, 120 MW Momina Klisura and 14 MW Vacha-1. According to EBRD, procurement is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
