Mitsubishi Hitachi awarded FGD in Tesla


Two flue gas desulphurisation system are to be installed in the Nikola Tesla A power plant reducing SO2 and prticulate emissions in an effort to comply with EU environmental standards. Each has a capacity of 650 MW and the pair will be appled on blocks 3-6. Systems are planned to commence with operation by mid-2021. Nikola Tesla A unit is owned by Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) and has an overall capacity of just over 1,700 MW. This should be the first FGD system to be applied on a coal power plant in Serbia. Finance is provided by Japan's Official Development Assistance.
