ELEM in plans to construct 10 MW solar power plant
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is in the process of considering the possibility of providing a loan to Macedonian state-owned utility JSC Elektrani na Makedonija (AD ELEM) in order to provide financing for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant of 10 megawatts near the former thermal power plant of Oslomej. The project envisions the construction of a new solar power plant on the exhausted lignite mine of TPP Oslomej site as part of the new strategy of AD ELEM aimed at increasing production from renewable energy sources.
