A mega hydro project in the making in Bosnia
Turkish based Enprode and Bosnian IMRES Smart Greenergy are planning the construction of a reversible hydro power plant and a wind farm. HPP Široka draga is to utilise water from the nearby lake Buško, has a planned installed capacity of 1120 MW and represents an investment of €1.675 billion. The wind power plant project, with an estimated investment of approximately €75 million, currently foresees building 16 wind turbines each having 4.3 MW of power which would total to an overall 68 MW of installed power. First works on the project have already begun with the construction of access roads and with initiating the process of obtaining necessary permits for wind power plant construction..
