LNG Croatia reissues its FSRU tender

Croatian state-owned developer LNG Croatia reissued its tender for the procurement of the Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU) due to formal reasons. LNG Croatia announced an invitation to submit bids in the “Procurement of goods and services consisting of delivery of the FSRU unit with the provision of FSRU operation and maintenance services” Deadline for submission is set at 21st of September 2018.

As reported by LNG Croatia LLC, during previous procurement procedure three bids were received while the fourth was submitted after deadline. The evaluation process concluded that none of the bids were fully compliant with formal requirements of the RfP and, therefore, none could have been declared as valid. First tender specified the FSRU with the smallest tank capacity of 160,000 cubic meters, which would correspond to a gas capacity of approximately 6.5 billion cubic meters per year. However, this tender was cancelled and the current one determins a minimum tank capacity of 135,000 cubic meters corresponding to 2.6 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
