After winning in a previous €900 million arbitration, Enel has now been ordered to pay over €400 million for a minority stake in Electrica Muntenia Sud as part of the privatisation agreement signed when entering the market. as reported by Business Review, before going on trial, Enel said it was willing to pay €250 million for the stake, but the Romanian Government refused the offer.
