

HEP investing in generation portfolio
By 2028, Croatian state owned utility HEP aims to complete the €487 million (HRK 3.6 billion) revitalisation cycle of its hydro power plant (HPP) generation portfolio. At present, €190 million (HRK 1.4 billion) has already been invested. During the course of 2019 works: will continue on Ozalj (5.5 MW) and Gojak (55.5 MW); should be completed on Zakučac (486 MW), Dubrovnik (252 MW) and Fužine (4.6 MW); will begin on Varaždin (94 MW) and Senj (216 MW). HEP announces ambitious plans regarding grid investments
In the period from 2018 to 2021, HEP Group aims to invest around €780 million (HRK 5.8 billion) in the electricity network of the Croatian power system. Approximately €540 million (HRK 4 billion) is to be invested in the distribution grid and more than €240 million (HRK 1.8 billion) is earmarked for investments in the transmission network. HEP to invest €31 million in smart grids by 2022

HEP to invest over €6 million in solar unit

HEP Distribution is required to equip all the billing metering points of customers with a leased power supply of more than 20 kW with new meters capable of remote reading at its own expense by October 2020. Croatia keeps ownership of HEP's hydro components
